ReplyDeleteReminds me of the 76 year old Alzheimers patient for whom I was providing companion care (live-in) until he passed away (February 28, 2011).
One day as he was deteriorating, he looks up at me, and with a halting, raspy, voice asks, "What happened to me?"
It's not very easy to answer that question!
But a rich experience to walk with another person as they die . . . .
